Matteo Romano, (born 5 September 1992 in Rome, Italy) known professionally as Xanti, is an Italo-French record producer, engineer and DJ. Xanti fell in love with music in young age, while touring Italy with his father, drummer of a local roman band named G44. A digital native, he approached electronic music after borrowing his older brother’s CD copy of ”The Prodigy’s “The Fat Of The Land”. Around 2012, after his initial forays as a local DJ in his hometown, Xanti felt the need of producing his own sound and had the pleasure to release his early records on prominent labels such as Cr2 Records, Armada Music, Enhanced Music and Disco:Wax before starting his own venture Backdoor Records, which was built to express his personal and eclectic vision; it is also used as a hub to always create new and very diverse projects, teaming up with a wide array of prominent artists, songwriters and producers from several different genres. His last single “Queen Of Love”, featuring Elenoir and Tim Bell, counts over 2.5 millions streams and reached the Top20 Viral Chart in UK, Ireland and Italy as long as being featured in various TV shows such as Love Island 2020.
